Beginning her career in real estate property management more than 20 years ago, Shirley Matteson continues to participate in strategic planning for the management of commercial and multi-family residential properties. The widespread recognition of the excellence of The Matteson Companies' property management operations directly results from her historical development and training of the professional property management staff.
Shirley Matteson is very active in the local community and serves in a leadership role in groups working with medical and educational issues. She currently serves on the Executive Committee of the Board of Overseers for the Hoover Institution on War, Revolution and Peace at Stanford University. For nine years, Mrs. Matteson served on the Board of Directors of Stanford University Medical Center, participating in the Finance, Audit and Quality Assurance Committees, and, as past Chairman of the Advisory Board of The Health Library, she continued her involvement as Building Project Chairman. Mrs. Matteson majored in Business Management and Accounting at the University of Missouri.
